About Decade

Decade Energy enables the electrification of urban logistics through integrating the complex energy infrastructure landscape and optimizing the energy consumption of logistics depots – delivering simplicity, uptime and cost benefit to customers.

We are an electric infrastructure solution provider, meaning that we support our customers in selecting, installing and operating their electric infrastructure. By helping our customers run their installations in the most efficient way, we also optimize their energy consumption to make electric transport the most competitive technology choice.

Born out of the Volta Trucks journey, our team builds on years of experience helping many of the most established European fleet operators transition from diesel to electric transportation. We’re a diverse group of company builders looking for a key team member who shares our passion about building technology to decarbonize cities and legacy industries. We’re still early on our journey but well-backed and with a great industry network.

Overall Objective

Reporting to the CEO, and in close collaboration with our VP Engineering and VP Business Development, lead our product development function to develop and bring to market services and software solutions that help our customers transition to electric and make electric the most competitive technology choice.

Key Responsibilities

1/ Product Strategy

• Translate the company vision into a product roadmap, informed by customer needs, market trends and company objectives.
• Identify market opportunities and determine product priorities to ensure competitiveness and relevance.

2/ Product lifecycle management

• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch and beyond.
• Ensure continuous improvement and updates based on market trends, user feedback, and technological advancements.

3/ Customer Understanding

• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, such as defining customer personas, defining operational objectives and processes, mapping out technology interfaces.
• Gather customer feedback to drive product improvements and innovation.
• Ensure that the product meets customer needs and enhances user experience.

4/ Cross-Functional Leadership

• Work closely with our teams in engineering, sales, and infrastructure and customer support to:
  • Translate the product vision into tangible features and functionalities.
  • Ensure that the product’s value proposition is effectively communicated to the market.
  • Ensure that they are equipped to handle queries and issues related to the product.
  • Balance competing interests and priorities.
  • Facilitate communication and transparency.
